What is the difference between a sonic toothbrush and a regular electric toothbrush?
A standard electric toothbrush uses an oscillating (rotating) head that typically moves at 2,500-7,500 strokes per minute. It cleans mechanically, the bristles must touch each surface directly. A sonic toothbrush vibrates at much higher frequencies (ours: 50,000 strokes/min), creating a dynamic fluid action that cleans between teeth and along the gumline even where bristles don't physically reach. The result is a noticeably deeper clean.
Is it suitable for sensitive gums?
Yes. The Sensitive and Gum Care modes use lower intensity vibrations specifically designed for people with sensitive or inflamed gums. You can also adjust the speed level for additional control. Many users with gum sensitivity find that the gentle sonic action is actually less irritating than vigorous manual brushing.
Is it suitable for people with braces?
Yes. The multiple brushing modes and speed adjustments make it adaptable for orthodontic patients. The Sensitive mode at low speed provides a gentle clean around brackets and wires.
How often should I replace the brush head?
Every three months, or sooner if the bristles
are visibly worn. Replacement heads are available in both 35,000 and 50,000 SPM variants and click in and out easily. This means you replace only the head, never the whole unit.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. Our sonic toothbrush is IPX8 waterproof certified, meaning it can be fully submerged and is safe for use in the shower. The USB charging port is sealed when not in use.
Do you have a sonic toothbrush for children?
Yes. Our kids sonic toothbrush is designed with gentler vibrations, a smaller brush head, and a two-minute timer to help build good brushing habits from an early age.
