National Tree Week is the UK’s largest annual tree celebration, marking the start of the winter tree planting season (November to March each year). This year, it’s taking place 28 November – 6 December.
Trees are an essential part of the earth’s environment. They make up over 30% of the total land cover and act as anchors for healthy and happy ecosystems. As they absorb carbon and produce oxygen, they are the best natural remedy to mitigate climate change.
Here at Treeapp we want everyone to be able to have a positive impact for free. Treeapp is a mobile app which enables anyone to plant a tree for free, everyday, in less than a minute. The trees are funded by eco-conscious organisations (like Georganics) who advertise their products and services on our platform. The planting is performed by our global NGO partners, who make sure every single tree they plant benefits endemic species and local communities.
By partnering with our planting NGOs, trees play their part in building a global sustainable future. Trees increase carbon capture against the rise in emissions, revitalise species and protect biodiversity. On top of that, our NGO partners create a wider positive impact on local populations through knowledge empowerment, skills training, and by working with local communities, our planting projects create sustainable employment opportunities.
Treeapp was created because we believe bringing together a community with shared values is the best way to defend forest ecosystems and work towards a greener future.
From the 30th Nov - 6th Dec all orders £10 or over placed online will plant a tree!
